Why I Dedicated My Awards To AY--Comedian, Elenu Reveals

After winning the third edition of AY Open Mic Challenge in 2006, Akinlami Babatunde Julius, popularly known as Elenu, has been on top of his game. His captivating and rib cracking jokes have raked millions of naira into his account and it has soothed many sorrowful minds.

While speaking on why he dedicated his recently won Modemen and Dynamix All-Youth Awards to top comedian, Ayo Makun, otherwise called AY, who he sees as his mentor, the graduate of Computer Science from the University of Benin, said "one because he is my boss; two, because he is my prudent and dependable mentor; and three, because he felt my jokes when nobody hyped me."

In 2012, the fast-rising comedian made some achievements which included relocating his mum to a more posh apartment, buying a new car and crowning the year with engaging his girlfriend,
