Again, Gunmen Kill Two Policemen in Kano

SAN FRANCISCO, January 15, (THEWILL) – Suspected gunmen, Tuesday, struck again in Kano, killing two policemen and injuring another at Yan’awaki Unguwa Uku in the outskirts of the metropolis

Coming less than 48 hours after they sent two policemen to their early graves and injuring two civilians in the same manner in Kano, Tuesday's incident, according to sources, happened at about 8:20am.

Eye witness account of the early morning attack said, the policemen were in their patrol vehicle when the suspected gunmen laid an ambush for them, killing off two and injuring another.

Confirming the incident, the Police Public Relations Officer of the state Police Command, ASP Magaji Majiya, said the incident happened at about 8am on Tuesday when the gunmen laid an ambush on the police vehicle at Yan’awaki Unguwa Uku.

He however said security operatives had cordoned off the area while investigation of the attack had commenced.
