KWARA STATE LAW STUDENTS IN LAW SCHOOL PROTEST AGAINST THE KWARA STATE GOVERNMENT

By ABDULFATAH ABDULSALAM

The manner in which the fees of the Nigeria Law Schools upsurge sporadically makes it difficult for many Law students to cope with the financial implication; the Kwara State Law Students are not left out in this malady. This makes the Kwara State Law students in Law School to look on to the government for aid.

It was one of the promises of the present Kwara State Governor, Abdulfatah Hammed during his campaign to provide scholarship for the Kwara state Law students in Law Schools. Today! The Kwara state Law students presently in Law School are in need of financial aid but could not get from the government of Kwara state despite the fact that the governor during his campaign promised to provide financial succor for the Kwara State Law Students in the Law Schools. This is a clue that the government is not dedicated to the intellectual growth of the youths of Kwara state.

NACONS strongly protest the manner in which these students are neglected by the Kwara state government at this point in time when the assistance of the government is mostly needed. The recent payment of the Law School Fees as proclaimed by the state government was priority wrongly placed as it was meant not for the Kwara State Law Students who are presently in Law School, who ideally need the timely financial assistance of the government.

We implore the State Government of Kwara state to assist these students who really deserve financial aid.
