NEW YEAR: ONI ASSURES OF BETTER DEAL, URGES PRAYER

By Lere Olayinka

Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) National Vice Chairman (South-West), Chief Segun Oni has assured Nigerians, especially members and supporters of the PDP in the South-West of better deal from God in the year 2013, saying; "We must be prayerful and be hopeful for a year 2013 that will be full of progress and good tidings for our country and its people."

Oni said in his New Year message signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Lere Olayinka that in spite of what the country went through in 2012, he was confident that God would manifest Himself in the affairs of the country this new year.

“I therefore wish to congratulate Nigerians, especially members and supporters of our party, the PDP for this brand new year that God has made possible for us to see.

"I'm particularly grateful to God for keeping His promises concerning our lives and that of our nation, Nigeria and I pray that this new year will be full of celebrations of good things for us as a people and our country," Oni said.

While reiterating his call on Nigerians to remain faithful and supportive of the Federal Government and governments at all levels, Oni said: “In spite of all the challenges of 2012, there is hope and assurance that our challenges as a nation are not insurmountable, and by the grace of God, all those issues that give us concerns as a people will fizzle out this New Year.”
