Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala's Aged Mother Kidnapped

SAN FRANCISCO, December 09, (THEWILL) – Gunmen Sunday afternoon kidnapped the mother of Nigeria’s finance Minister, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala.

Professor Kamene Okonjo believed to be in her late 70s was taken from her family home in Ogbe-Ofu, Ogwashi-Ukwu, Delta North Senatorial District, family sources told THEWILL.

Her husband, Professor Chukwuka Okonjo, the traditional ruler (Obi) of Ogwashi-Ukwu was away in Abuja when the gunmen attacked, THEWILL gathered.
