FG supplied only 30 patrol vehicles to Lagos police since 2007, says Fashola
The Lagos State Governor, Babatunde Fashola has underscored the precarious under-funding of the Nigerian Police by the Federal Government.
He accused the Federal Government of not doing enough to properly equip its security agencies in tackling crime.
The Governor, who spoke at the 6th annual town hall meeting on Security Trust Fund, wonder why the Federal Government is not committing funds towards helping states to battle crime.
He also noted that since the inception of the Lagos State Security Trust Fund in 2007, only 30 patrol vehicles and 11 patrol boats had been provided by the Federal Government for the police in Lagos.
