WHO The African Union Commission (AUC),

WHY: CAHOSCC will deliberate on the state of play of the global climate change negotiations and chart strategies for Africa's effective participation at

COP18/CMP8 around Africa's common position developed through the AU's unified negotiating structure.

Participants: African Heads of State, African Ministers of Environment and Member of African Group of Negotiators on Climate Change (AGN) as well as pan African institutions supporting policies and programmes pertaining to climate change, environment and sustainable development.

Journalists are invited to attend and cover the opening session of CAHOSCC on Monday 03 December 2012, at 15:00, at the Qatar National Convention Center, in Doha, Meeting Room 4.

A press conference will follow after the closing session, at 17:30, in press conference room1, at Qatar Convention Center.
