The decision was taken at a meeting of the Main Organising Committee (MOC) held at the Sports Bar of the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere Lagos. The MOC meeting was attended by the Chairman, MOC, Chief Patrick Ekeji, Commissioner of sports Lagos State, Enitan Waheed Oshodi, MOC secretary, Alhaji Abba Yola, Secretary-General LOC, Dr.Kweku Tando, Lagos State director of sports and members of the MOC. They decided that to avoid incidences of wrong results and fraud, the NSF website will be the only source of official results and that the daily results will be on the website by 7.00p.m.each day.

'It advised that everyone seeking the results of the Games events should always visit the website. Results will be posted on the website after ratification.'

To ensure that events at the festival are properly monitored, the MOC decided to perform oversight functions on some of the critical areas of the festival with members to be assigned to oversee activities in major aspects of the festival.

Ekeji disclosed that NSF is currently under continuous review and that in response to the dynamics of the times, an annual National U-17 championship in ten (10) key sports will be established in the mode of the NSF. He said the main purpose of the championship will be to enhance talent hunt and capture young athletes who may be out of school. Products of the Under 17 championship he said will be sent to the Elite Athletes programme for further development and grooming.

He said that the next National Sports Festival will be opened to all Nigerian athletes from where athletes will be selected to represent the country in international sports competitions.
