Anambra: Another 20 Million Naira For Projects at Iyienu Hospital

Governor Peter Obi has presented more cheques totaling twenty million naira for continuation of work on the on- going hostel projects of the schools of Nursing and midwifery Iyi-Enu Mission Hospital, Ogidi. Governor Obi who presented the cheques while inspecting the projects said ten million naira is for the school of Nursing Hostel while the other ten million naira is for the school of midwifery.


The Governor said his administration was executing ten such projects in various schools of Nursing and Midwifery across the State at the cost of sixty million naira each.


He explained that the projects are geared towards turning around the Health sector by building quality manpower that will enhance effective healthcare delivery in the drive to achieve the Millennium Development Goals.


Governor Obi urged the Hospital management to accelerate work on the projects to ensure that they are completed this year.


Receiving the cheque, the Hospital Administrator, Reverend Canon John Amaizu noted that the Governor has immortalized his name in the annals of the hospital and assured him that the funds will be properly and transparently utilized.


Observing that the country expect more great things from the Governor, the Hospital Manager, Rev. Ikechukwu Okwuosa thanked the Governor for fulfilling his promises and assured that they would strive to meet expectations of the Government.
