MANCHESTER City duo Kolo Toure and Emmanuel Adebayor had to be pulled apart today in another sensational training ground bust-up.

The pair were pictured scrapping on the ground after a disagreement yesterday ahead of their crunch clash on today with Arsenal – the club they both left 18 months ago to join mega-rich City.

It is the latest headache for City boss Roberto Mancini, who had to calm the pair down after their clash at their Carrington base.

Two other City players – Mario Balotelli and Jerome Boateng – also had to be pulled apart in training after they exchanged blows last month.

The latest incident now overshadows the countdown to City's crunch match with Arsenal. Victory would ensure they send out a message to their rivals that they are genuine title contenders this season. Defeat, however, would seriously dent their chances of keeping pace at the summit.

Last month, Balotelli reacted angrily to a tackle from behind by Boateng, who retaliated by grabbing the striker by the throat in front of Mancini and the rest of the squad.

The two players made up afterwards but Mancini had words with his £23million signing Balotelli from Inter Milan as he tried to calm him down.
