SALAMI: DON'T POLITICISE JUDICIARY, SAGAY TELLS JONATHAN

By NBF News

A Professor of Law, Itse Sagay, has warned the executive arm of government against playing politics with the judiciary following the controversies that trailed the suspension of the President of the Court of Appeal, Justice Isa Ayo Salami.

Speaking to Daily Trust on phone, Sagay predicted constitution crisis over the delay in the reinstatement of Salami.

Jonathan had reportedly reappointed Justice Dalhatu Adamu as the acting President of the Court of Appeal.

Sagay said, 'They know why they want Salami issue to continue. The government is playing with a very dangerous thing and they will see where it will lead us to.'

National Judicial Council (NJC) had recommended the reinstatement of Salami to the president.
