Husbands must share house chores with wives

Pastor Seth Mawutor, a marriage counsellor, on Saturday, reiterated the need for husbands to share house chores with their wives.

He said love was all about sharing and that helping their wives with house chores would rekindle their “first love” and ensured peace and understanding in the family.

Pastor Mawutor said this at the maiden mass wedding of Jubilee Christian Centre in Ho.

He said most broken homes were caused as a result of misunderstanding of the roles of a husband and wife and said it was important that couples sacrificed for each other and worked together as a team.

Pastor Mawutor said this way, the couple would remain in love and united and be able to bring forth disciplined and God-fearing children.

He urged women to be submissive and dutiful and also asked men to love their wives and be responsible.

Pastor Mawutor mentioned Character, Sacrifice and Service as the three main pillars of a good marriage and advised couples and young marriage rely on them.

The five newly wed couples are Mr and Mrs Frederick Avornu, Mr and Mrs Emmanuel Kanyi, Mr and Mrs Maxwell Gbakah, Mr and Mrs Lloyd Ashong and Mr and Mrs Christian Dzanku.
