Determined to inculcate and promote Christian values in the lives of the youths, a Non-governmental Organization, Shepherd Court youth Foundation has been established to cater for them.

The association, which is based at Adebayo Community Estate, Gbagada, Lagos, is saddled with conducting community services on health and environmental issues. Aside, that, they provide counseling on career, marriage and financial matters. They intend to achieve this through evangelistic outreaches to schools, churches and public places.

Launching the NGO recently at Osolo Way, Lagos, Founder, Mrs. Patricia Aniekwe, wife of Kenneth Aniekwe, Chairman, Ladipo Spare Parts International Market (Ladipo Main Market), said humanity today is facing various problems on every level starting from the individual to the family, society, nation and the world.

Aniekwe, who used the occasion to also mark her 40th birthday stated that, 'The problems of youths' delinquency stem from lack of proper moral standards that result in wars, hunger, diseases, insecurity and general discontentment.'

According to her, 'This dissatisfaction spread across age brackets but the most vulnerable are the youths who are the future of our nation. This age group needs to be assisted to find direction and purpose for their life and grow to become leaders. For any youth to live a meaningful life and attract the attention of the family and society, he must be a God-fearing youth.

'Today, youth needs the spiritual, emotional, intellectual capacity to withstand the challenges of their generation and future. Therefore, Shepherd Court Youth Foundation is a platform for teaching and inculcating a set of Christian morals and values into our youths.'

The event attracted friends and associates from all walks of life as well as cultural fiesta.
