UGHELLI- WORRIED by the spate of insecurity in the country, the Comptroller of Immigration in Delta State, Mr. Isiaku Hamad, has charged officers of the service nationwide to be more vigilant with a view to stopping illegal immigrants from entry into the country.

Harnad, who gave the charge in a chat with newsmen, urged officers of the command to rededicate themselves to their duties, warning against truancy and negligence of duty.

The immigration boss noted that the country was witnessing a trying time, reiterating the need for officers of the command to be extra vigilant.

He said, one of the ways to stop illegal immigrants into the state was for officers to show more commitment to their duties by being very vigilant. He enjoined them to be of good conduct and shun acts inimical to the tenet of the service.

Promising to maintain and improve upon existing cordial relationship between the service and the Delta State Government as well as the people of the state, Harnad appealed to members of the public not to always give useful information to the command that could lead to the tracking down of illegal immigrants in the state.
