Should I Tell My Mum?

Dear Auntie Betty, I am a girl of 14 and in SSS One. I live with my mum who is very strict. Recently, a boy in my area proposed to me, but I refused.

Since then, he has been pestering me to accept his proposal. What bothers me most is that he has threatened to rape me if I do not accept his proposal.

I want to tell my mum, but I am afraid she will beat me. What should I do?

She will rather be glad that you are able to trust and confide in her. I believe the boy has realised that you haven't told your mum or any adult yet and that encourages him to be persistent.
