BENIN- FEDERAL Controller of Works, Benin Zone, Mr. Omotayo Awosanya, has assured Oba Erediauwa of Benin Kingdom that the ongoing rehabilitation of the Benin-Ore Road would be completed during the dry season.

He also said that the friction between the Federal Government and Edo State Government had been resolved as far as the Oluku-Ugbowo expansion was concerned, adding that parties had harmonised all grey areas regarding the expansion of the road.

Awosanya, who was at the palace on courtesy visit, said that the Benin-Ore Road, takes off from Dawson by Akpakpava Street in Benin.

He said Edo State Government had been granted approval to carry on with the expansion programme, which was the subject of friction between former Minister of State for Works, Mr. Chris Ogiemwonyi and the state government.

Responding, the Oba charged him to give periodic update on the progress of the road project, urging him to re-visit the abandoned Queen Edo erosion control project.
