Oyo State government has denied any link with factional leader of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) in the state, Tokyo or anybody. A statement by the state government said: 'The allegation is certainly not true. The transporters must have transposed yesterday into today, assuming that the situation, which used to obtain, where government abetted one group to lord it over the other, is what obtains in this present government.

'Government has severally underscored its support for a new dawn in the transport sector of the state economy. It supports a management of road transport workers that is non-violent and is a clear departure from the chaos of the past. This government is thus supporting no one, be it Tokyo or Osaka, Auxiliary or Authentic.

In another devolvement, the state governor, Senator Abiola Ajimobi, has declared the administration's readiness to support and encourage people of noble objectives towards moving the state forward.

The governor stated this in Ibadan while inaugurating a two-block of eight classrooms donated to St. John's Grammar School, Igbo-Oloyin, in Akinyele Local Government Area of Ibadan by a renowned banker and businessman, Chief Samuel Igbayilola Adegbite.

A statement by Dr. Festus Adedayo, Special Adviser to the Governor on Media, quoted Amosun as saying that his administration would continue to support individuals and organisations that were ready to contribute their quota to the development of the state.

Ajimobi also promised to do everything possible to raise the standard of education through the provision of necessary infrastructure in schools across the state. He called on well-meaning indigenes of the state to emulate the philanthropic gesture of Chief Adegbite by using the resources at their disposal for the development of humanity.

'The greatest form of Godliness is service to humanity, and to me, you are an epitome of Godliness. To people like you, we will always give our support; we will always encourage you because you have demonstrated nobility in every sense of the word,' Gov. Ajimobi said.

Earlier, Adegbite had attributed the gesture to his resolve to bring life into the community and make his own contribution towards the growth and development of the state.
