Umuahia-Following the crisis rocking All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, the Abia State chapter of the party has passed a vote of confidence on National Chairman, Chief Victor Umeh, describing him as the best they could ever have.

Abia APGA also passed a vote of confidence on the state leader, Ochiagha Reagan Ufomba, declaring that he still had their support.

Rising from a meeting in Umuahia, the party said in resolution that 'APGA as presently constituted has no other national leader than our able leader, Victor Umeh, and our support for him is hinged on the acceptance of the body of chairmen and state executives' resolution to sack one Nnanna Ukegbu who betrayed our party through an affidavit withdrawing from the tribunal.'

Signed by the chairman, body of Local Government Chairmen, Onuka Udo Kalu and the Secretary of the Party in the state on behalf of the state executives of the party, Isaac Ngwakwe, the resolution noted that 'the party, long time ago, passed a vote of no confidence on our former state chairman, Ukegbu and suspended him from the party for (alleged) fraud, pettiness, inherent arrogance and other anti-party activities. The suspension was equally forwarded to the leadership of the party.

'APGA  in Abia State has no other leader in the state than our governorship hopeful, Reagan Ufomba. Those who are blackmailing him that he has been settled to abandon his stolen mandate should know that he is now busy pursuing his case at the Appeal Court.

'We do not have any other APGA in Abia State than the only one led by Ufomba who is tirelessly and judiciously pursuing his stolen mandate at the Appeal Court and those who are parading themselves as the leaders of the party in the state outside the mainstream are agents of fraud', the resolution further said.
