GUBER RACE: COALITION WANTS ALAIBE BACK IN PDP

By NBF News

As the race for the Creek Heaven, Bayelsa State Govern-ment House enters the critical stage, the Save Bayelsa Coalition of Nigeria, SBCN, has vowed to rally support of Bayelsans to realise the election of former NDDC boss, Mr. Timi Alaibe as governor next year.

In a statement by Mr. Fredrick Opumugbene and Miss Joyce Micheal, SBCN urged Alaibe to return to Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, noting that the former NDDC boss was one of the founding fathers of the party.

The group said: 'We are glad that God has opened another chance for Bayelsa State to prosper and become a blessing to all Ijaw worldwide. Alaibe must return to the PDP house he built with few others from foundation. He can't abandon his own house because of threat to his life. The people of Bayelsa are behind Timi Alaibe. It is against the African culture for anyone to abandon his own house for strangers.'

The group insisted that it will not rest or give up the demand for Alaibe to return to PDP and contest the 2012 governorship election in order to move the state forward.
