**Liverpool star says he did not racially abuse Man United defender

Liverpool's Luis Suarez has denied making any racist comments to Manchester United's Patrice Evra during Saturday's Premier League clash at Anfield.

In the aftermath of the 1-1 draw, it emerged that Evra had told French media that he had been the subject of racial abuse from the Uruguayan.

The Football Association have confirmed that they are set to investigate the matter after the match referee Andre Marriner was made aware of the allegation and included it in his report.

Evra told CanalPlus that Suarez had said the same word to him 'at least ten times' during the game.

But Suarez has been quick to make a denial over the allegations and on Sunday, he wrote on his Twitter account: "I'm upset by the accusations of racism.

"I can only say that I have always respected, and respect, everybody. We are all the same."
