EDO GROUP BACKS OSHIOMHOLE'S SECOND TERM BID

BENIN CITY-An elite Edo group, the Etsako Club 81 has supported the second tenure bid of Governor Adams Oshiomhole as Governor of Edo State, citing his giant strides and developments in the state.

Justice Abdul Abiri stated this at the inauguration of the Benin City branch of Etsako Club 81, in Benin City.

He said: 'Governor Oshiomhole has developed a network of roads in the cities and in the rural areas of the state. He has executed many people-oriented projects in the education and healthcare sectors and in the areas of erosion control and transportation. He has governed Edo State efficiently with passion, selflessness, fairness, honesty, transparency, courage and compassion.'

Justice Abiri, Chairman, Tax Appeal Tribunal, South South, said: 'Oshiomhole is using the tax payers money to turn Edo State round in a way most people thought was impossible.

'I wish to remind usĀ  of the obvious. The Governorship election of 2012 in Edo State is around the corner. Oshiomhole is our son. By virtue of his good work, the governor has come to be accepted by all citizens of Edo State as a worthy son. Undoubtedly, his wish for a deserved second term must be a project of the club and all of us.'

Further he said, 'I charge us to support him and work tirelessly both day and night to ensure the success of this project. The opportunity will hardly ever come our way again.'
