Actors In Auto Crash, One Dies

A member of the Association of Nigerian Theatre Arts Practitioners (ANTP), Ifako-Ijaiye Chapter, named Seun, died this morning, while 19 others sustained injuries when their vehicle crashed.

http://nollywoodgists.com learnt that the ANTP members were driving round Ifako-Ijaiye in celebration of the association's week when the incident occurred. Investigations revealed that the rally vehicle, an open trailer, which was conveying members of the ANTP, was on a high speed when it ran into a pot hole. The generator set used to power the musical instrument that supplied them music, was said to have caught fire and in the process, at least 20 members suffered severe burns.

http://nollywoodgists.com learnt that at least 14 of the victims are still in critical condition at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, Ikeja, while five other members were admitted at the Gbagada General Hospital, where the remains of the dead member has been deposited for autopsy. Rammey Shita-Bey, the former governor of Lagos state ANTP, confirmed the incident which, he said, happened on Tuesday.
