Why I took Agege bread to London – Uche Jombo

Uche Jombo is certainly one of the most talked about actresses in Nigeria.

Despite the scandals and allegations that have trailed her, the babe seems unruffled as she continues to soar in the Nollywood industry.

It was in the news recently that the actress was nabbed by airport officials at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport on her way to London with 'Agege' bread.

http://nollywoodgists.com gathered that while the actress was being searched at the check point, two loaves of 'Agege' bread were found in her bag.

As odd as some people might see the story, when http://nollywoodgists.com called the actress on the phone, she actually confirmed that she was travelling with 'Agege' bread.

“I don't know why people should think it odd that I took 'Agege' bread to London. But really, the bread was for a friend of mine who begged for weeks, and even called five minutes before I left for the airport, that I shouldn't fail to buy the bread for her.”

Uche said the airport official wanted her to buy another bread but she told her that it was 'Agege' bread that the person asked for.

“You know how it is when you live abroad and you hunger for home food that you do not easily see in that foreign country. My friend could easily afford other types of bread. I could have afforded to buy Big Treat or any other bread for her, but she specifically asked for 'Agege' bread. I don't see the big deal in that.”
