Port Harcourt - The National Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers, NUPENG, has appealed to the National Assembly to review the Petroleum Industry Bill in a manner that would guarantee the future of Nigerian workers in that sector in line with  global best practices.

The union said: 'As representatives of the people, we have confidence in members of  the National Assembly and believe that they will protect the interest of oil and gas and all Nigerian workers.'

Similarly, Producers Forum in a statement in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, weekend, said it wants the bill to be made available to Nigerians before its passage into law and 'all collective agreement in the sector should be carried along.'
