ONDO DISPENSES KEROSENE AT N50

Speaking at the flag off of the direct sale at the Gani Fawehinmi Freedom centre in Akure, the governor, Dr Olusegun Mimiko, said it was part of his administration's programme to meet the needs of the people.

Governor Mimiko said the state in conjunction with Capital Oil would sell the product to the people in all the 18 council areas of the state.

He pointed out that the direct sale would continue in Akure North council area today until all the 18 councils were visited by the task force on petroleum products in the state.

Each of the five trucks that dispensed the product  had 22,000 litres.

The Chairman of Akure South council area, Chief Tayo Oluwatuyi said that each person would purchase only 20 litres of the product.

Oluwatuyi who noted that filling stations in the state sell the product for between N80 to N150 per litre said with the government's gesture the cartel of shylock managers would be broken.
