BAUCHI- ARMED bandits yesterday stormed the Federal Low Cost Housing Estate in Bauchi, residence of Muhammad Danladi Audu Maiauduga, a former Special Adviser on Political Affairs to the Federal Capital Territory Minister, Senator Bala Mohammed and made away with unspecific amount of money and other valuables.

The incident, it was learnt, occurred around 1.30 a.m, when the bandits gained entry into his residence after tying the gateman who was on duty that day and headed straight into the house.

While giving details of the incident, Maiauduga said he got a call from his wife that robbers were in the house.

According to him, 'When the robbers entered into my house, they headed straight to my wife's room. On getting to her room, they ransacked the whole place and carted away some valuables, which include jewellery, cell-phones, and unspecific amount of cash.

When they finished with her room, they then forced my wife and children to lead them to my room. But when I observed that they were coming to my room, I shouted to attract the attention of my neighbours who came to my rescue.'

Confirming the incident, Bauchi State Police Command Public Relations Officer, Mohammed Barau, said though no arrest had been made, but  the police had begun investigation into the matter.
