THAT CAMPAIGN OF CALUMNY AGAINST AVIATION MINISTER

I read with keen interest, an open letter to our president by one Mr. Ayiri Emami a self - acclaimed Niger Delta rights campaigner and Youth Leader on the appointment  of Mrs. Stella - Oduah - Ogiemwonyi which appeared on the Sunday Sun of July 10th 2011 on page 7.

Ordinarily, I would not have bothered myself replying to such trash which is only good for the dust bin but for the fact that the writer of the letter may succeed in confusing some uninformed people and bred unnecessary rancor and hatred against an innocent woman without any justification, I decided to respond to few issues raised therein.

First, I don't understand why it took this so called leader so much time to complain about what he termed misdeeds of Mrs. Stella Oduah-Ogiemwonyi. Why did he wait until she became a minister for him to realise that she has all along been cheating his community.

Mrs. Stella Oduah - Ogiemwonyi has been a key player in the oil industry. Yes she has been but do not forget she worked very hard to get there. She did not just wake up one day to achieve that. You Ayiri Emami could have achieved this kind of fit if you had used your time better rather than engaging your time in militancy and unnecessary blackmail. Does it occur to you Mr. Ayiri Emami that Mrs. Oduah-Ogiemweonyi is not the only key player in oil industry? Why is her own so different and of special interest to you if not for 'bad belle' and bad blood'.

How come, you decided out of your own selfish interest to malign your community by saying that Mrs. Oduah - Oguemwonyi was able to subdue and exclude your people from the oil business. Yet you exposed yourself further when you explained that she was forced to part with what you called a negligible percentage to your people.

This comment is laughable because it went further to expose the nothingness in Mr. Ayiri Emami. I would love to lecture Anyiri Emami on what obtains in Nigeria. You should know that Mrs. Stella Oduah-Ogiemwonyi is from Anambra State and as far as this country exists, Anambra State oil is on the reserve so there is nothing to brag about oil for Mrs. Stella Oduah-Ogiemwonyi.

Also by marriage Mrs. Stella Oduah-Ogiemnonyi also belongs to oil producing state. Don't forget also Mr Ayiri Emami that people like you in the past benefitted from oil produced in the East when the oil you now brag with was in incubator.  For some of us who were opportuned to be with her while in Zixton Secondary School Ozubulu, I am pound, bold and confident to say that she is capable of the ministerial job given to her. She has the acumen, capacity, reliability industriousness and will power to perform creditably well in her new job. Mr. President had made the right decision by the appointment. On a parting note, I wish to assure Ayiri Emami and his group or sponsors that Mrs. Stella Oduah-Ogiemwonyi has no time for frivolous things, victimization, oppression, hated and the likes since her pedigree which Ayiri does not know will not allow her get as low as Ayiri Emami in his letter whose only target was to destroy the minister for no just cause.

I therefore want to use this opportunity on behalf of myself and the willing Zixtonians to thank Mr President for finding one of us worthy to be made a minister. Be assured that she would live up to your expectations Mr. President. God bless you for this honour. May I also use this opportunity to congratulate Mrs. Stella Oduah-Ogiemwonyi on her elevation to the position of a minister of Federal Republic of Nigeria. I pray that the good Lord will continue to bless, guide, guard and protect you as you carry out this responsibility.
