Boko Haram: Resolution In Sight - Bello
ABUJA, July 27, (THEWILL) - The Minister of Defence, Dr Haliru Mohammed Bello has assured of plans to bring to an end the series of bomb attacks orchestrated by members of the radical Islamic sect Boko Haram.
Bello made the declaration in Kaduna during a chat with journalists adding that government has put all its cards on the table to ensure that the crisis is resolved.
“Government is worried about Nigeria and Nigerians who have become victims of the various incidents of the Boko Haram attacks. Nigeria is not the only country facing security challenges you know. However, government is doing everything possible to ensure internal and external security of the country. I assure you we are handling the issue of Boko Haram in Maiduguri and very soon, it will be a thing of the past,” the Defence Minister said.
He also assured that the federal government is open to receiving suggestions from the public on ways to bring the insurgency to an end.
“We will take suggestions from people, if it requires modifying our plans, we will modify it,” Bello added.
