SELL KEROSENE AT N50 PER LITRE, IPMAN TELLS MEMBERS

The Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN), Western Zone Chapter, has appealed to members to sell kerosene at the official pump price of N50 per litre. Mr Olumide Ogunmade, the Chairman of IPMAN in the zone, made the appeal on Sunday in Lagos in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).Ogunmade said the association had constituted monitoring committees that would ensure that the product was sold at the pump price.

He said its members were law-abiding and would not go contrary to government rules and regulations on sale of kerosene. To ensure that every Nigerian had access to the product, Ogunmade said the NNPC should make the product available at all times. He said IPMAN was ready to ensure that the lingering crisis associated with kerosene purchase was addressed. Ogunmade, however, urged the NNPC to give IPMAN members sufficient products to distribute across the country.

'We have informed our members who receive kerosene to ensure that they sell at N50 per litre to avoid being embarrassed by the disciplinary committee and surveillance team. Anybody caught selling the product above the N50 pump price will be sanctioned and penalised for going against the rules and regulations,' Ogunmade said.
