OHAKIM'S RUNNING MATE TOPS LIST OF COMMISSIONER NOMINEES

Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha,  Wednesday submitted 15  commissioner- nominees and 11 special advisers to the  State House of Assembly for confirmation.

A statement  by the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Anthony Gozie Anwukah, said the list of commissioner-nominees include, incumbent deputy Governor, Jude Agbaso,  Prof. Viola Onwuliri, wife of the immediate past Vice Chancellor of FUTO and the running mate of Chief Ikedi Ohakim,  Mrs. Veronica Adaora Ijezie, Mrs. Anne Dozie and  Chief Soronnadi Njoku, a  former commissioner in the Achike Udenwa administration.

Others include the deputy National Chairman APGA South-east, Chief Uche Christian Ejike, Mrs Chioma Ogoke, Director Media and Publicity, Rochas Campaign Organization, Chike John Okafor, Dr. Obi Njoku, Felix Emelu, Chief Gerry Okoli, Nze Enwerem Ogueri, Nelson Ezerioha, Emeka Ndukwu and Steve Ahaneku, a lawyer.

Special Advisers include Ex-super Eagles skipper, Nwankwo Kanu (Sports), a former Minister of Education, Prof. Fabian Osuji (Education), Chief Partrick C. Onuoha (Political), Prof. Francis Dike (Legal Affairs), Nich Opara Ndidi (Economic Affairs), Dr. Sylvanus Amaechi (House), Prince MacDonald Akalo (Project Monitoring), Chief Mike Obioha (Tourism and Cultural Affairs) and Mike Okiro (Security matters).

Also on the list are Chief Raphael Ekezie (Petroleum and Natural Resources) and Jude Ejiogu (Internally Generated Revenue  Affairs). A five-man ad hoc committee has been set up by the State Assembly, which screened the nominees yesterday.

The Deputy Speaker of the Assembly, Chief Donatus Ozoemena chaired the committee. Other members are Majority Leader, Mrs. Adaku Ihuoma, Ngozi Pat- Ekeji and Chief Celestine Ngobiwu. They also invited the nominees to report to the committee members.
