NDA RELEASES EXAM RESULTS

The Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) has released the names of successful candidates who sat for the entrance examination for the 63 Regular Course, which also had female candidates for the first time.

In a notice in The Sun of Tuesday, May, 3, 2011, the academy announced that successful candidates are to appear before the Armed Forces Selection Board from Saturday, May, 21 to June, 20, 2011, at the academy's old site in Kaduna.

The statement signed by the academy registrar, Brigadier A. T. Jibrin, said the successful candidates are divided into two batches comprising 19 states in the first batch and 18 states in the second batch and the first batch are expected to report to the academy on May 21, and the second batch on June 7.

Candidates who fail to report by May 22 and Tuesday June 7, 2011 for batches one and two respectively will not be allowed to attend the interview.  Any second batch candidate who is seen around the NDA premises before Jun 6, 2011 will be disqualified.

The statement warned that only candidates who pass the screening exercise which involves certificates screening, medical and physical fitness tests will qualify to continue with the interview and advised candidates to come along with the original and photocopies of their academic certificates/statements of result, and testimonials for primary and secondary schools (junior and senior), birth certificate or declaration of age preferably birth certificate.

Other documents to be produced by the successful candidates include proof of state/local government indigeneship duly signed by Secretary to the State Government and Chairman of Local Government as the case may be, certification obtained from a Military Officer from the same state of the rank of Lieutenant Colonel and above or equivalent in the Nigerian Navy and Nigerian Air force can be used in place of local government indigeneship certificate. In this case, the officer must indicate his formation/unit, appointment, contact address, phone numbers and e-mail address.  The officer must also affix formation/unit stamp and signed.

Candidates who fail to bring along the documents will be disqualified.  Any alterations on the documents will attract outright disqualification.
