Nigeria and other African representatives will know their fate today as the draws for the FIFA under-20 World Cup will take place in Cartegena, Colombia, today.

Africa will be represented by four teams at the 24-team tournament - Nigeria, Egypt, Mali and Cameroon.

Defending world champions Ghana failed to reach the knockout stage of the ongoing African Youth Championship in South Africa.

Nigeria, Egypt and Cameroon are in Pot C along with Uruguay, Croatia and Ecuador.

Mali are in Pot B along with North Korea, Guatemala, Saudi Arabia, Austria and Mexico.

The tournament's most successful country Argentina are in Pot A along with hosts Colombia, Brazil, Spain, England and France.

The biennial championship will be staged in eight Colombian cities from July 29 to August 20.

Meanwhile the Nigeria football federation is considering a pre-tournament tour Miami, Florida inĀ  the USA.

Miami has similar weather conditions to that of Colombia, where the 2011 Under-20 World Cup will be staged, and it is also just a stone throw by air.
