Oni's mother dies at 106

Mother of Chief Segun Oni, former governor of Ekiti State, Mrs Comfort Oni just passed on.

She died at 106.
The woman, a devout christian, a community leader died at about 6pm today in her Ifaki-Ekiti residence.

Oni, who broke the news at his Ifaki-Ekiti country home said she died a fulfilled mother.

"My mother just died and I wish to thank God that she lived a fulfilled life.

"As you can all see, it is a thing of joy and worthy of celebration because not many people lived to see their mothers at over 100 year-old.

"I thank God for her life and all I can say now is that she was a real mother in every sense of it," Oni said.
