SAN FRANCISCO, March 10, (THEWILL) – The Delta State Governor today sacked his Commissioner for Special Duties in Charge of Ugbenu-Koko Road, Dr. Bibobra Bello Orubebe, who coincidentally is a relative of the Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Elder Godsday Orubebe.

A government special announcement signed by Secretary to the State Government, Dame Beatrice Omeni, said, “Consequently, Dr. (Barr.) Bibobra Bello Orubebe, Commissioner for Special Duties in charge of Ugbenu-Koko Road, has been dropped as a civil commissioner and member of the Executive Council of the Delta State Government.”

The announcement did not give a reason for his sudden sack.

THEWILL has however gathered from Delta State Government House sources that Orubebe was fired for insubordination.

It is unclear whether the rift between the Governor and the Minister of Niger Delta Affairs played a role in the sack of the commissioner.
