The  presidential campaign organisation of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) presidential candidate, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu has denied media reports of speculated rift between him and former Lagos State Governor, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The report had alleged that  the ACN  presidential candidate had rejected the choice of former finance minister, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala,  as  his running mate.

But the   Nuhu Ribadu Campaign Organisation yesterday in Abuja said it was alarmed by media reports, suggesting there was a rift between Ribadu and Tinubu, one of the leaders of the party.

Director of  media and communications of the organisation, Ibrahim Modibo,  in a press statement dismissed the report.

Modibbo disclosed that the former Lagos State governor had been out of the country for almost a week and could not have been at the meeting.

'The meeting where heated arguments purportedly broke out between the two men never took place in the first place.'

'What is more shocking is the claim that Mr. Chido Onumah was also at a meeting in Abuja when indeed he was busy on assignment in Lagos and did not return until Friday.

'Even the claim that party chairman, Chief Bisi Akande, was at an Abuja meeting, when he is busy in London, amounted to abusing the generosity of readers and taking them for granted.'
