Funke Adedoyin, Iyalode Adunni Bankole Rock With Salawa Abeni

Funke Adedoyin, ex-Minister for Women Affairs and daughter of Agbamu, Kwara State-born billionaire, Samuel Adedoyin, was among many socialites and dignitaries that graced the celebration of 35 years on stage of Waka music queen, Salawa Abeni, recently.

Spotted in a jeans and scarf gown, the mother of one seemed to be enjoying the evening and many of the musicians who performed at the event sang the ex-minister's praises to high heavens, as soon as the master of ceremony, Rotimi Martins a.k.a. Alariwo of Africa, accorded her recognition.

However, efforts by NFC to have a chat with Funke, who will not forget the treatment the Senate gave her during her ministerial screening, was abortive as she stayed glued to her seat, savouring the evening with her friends.

Iyalode Adunni Bankole was also among those who stood solidly behind the Waka Queen as she walked up and down, giving orders to the caterers to ensure that all the guests were satisfied.

Mummy, as she is fondly called by her admirers, described the Waka Queen as a sister and a friend, saying that Salawa has paid her dues in the industry.

According to her, Salawa had been through a lot and deserved all the accolades showered on her at the event held in her honour.
