The Chairman, North Central zone of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Yusuf Ayitogo has called on the Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) to rescind its decision and support President Goodluck Jonathan in April 2011 general elections.

Ayitogo, who made the disclosure yesterday in a chat with Daily Sun, also said as a child of necessity, President Jonathan needs prayer and support, and cooperation of all to enable him succeed on the enormous tasks ahead of him.

He said within six month of his governance, Jonathan was able to change the lives of Nigerians particularly the problems of petroleum products, electricity and healthcare delivery, among others.

On the crisis in Plateau State, Ayitogo called on the warring faction to forget their differences by living in peace with one another to move the state forward, pointing out that as a PDP state, Governor Jonah Jang would win Plateau State during the April general elections.

He called on the people to forgive one another for peace to reign in the state.

Ayitogo also said the crisis in Plateau State was unfortunate and prayed to God to grand those who lost their lives during the crisis eternal rest and their family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

When asked to access the level of PDP performance as a party, Ayitogo scored the party 70 per cent even though he said there were some mistakes here and there.

On the ongoing voters' registration, Ayitogo said Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) was doing its best and urged Nigerians to support the commission to enable it succeed on the tasks before it. He said the South-east zone of the country was expected to provide the next party chairman as indicated in the party guidelines.
