Let's meet you?

My name is Udeogu Sylvia. I am from Anambra State, the second in the family of seven. I read Economics at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka.

How did you get into the entertainment industry?

My feelings for entertainment started from my days in school. So, when I graduated, I heard of the Lux audition and I went for it, that was how I got into the industry fully.

How then has it been?

It's been fun. I feel fulfilled, because that is what I have been itching to do for a very long time, despite the fact that I read Economics. Economics is just the part of me that I love. I love calculating, but my passion for acting and fashion just makes me fulfilled.

What about challenges?

Modelling is not really easy. You know Lux took me to high place. They made me to become what I never thought in my life that I would be. My first challenge is inability to do whatever I like in the public. The freedom is no more there for me, because each time people see me on the road they pass one comment or the other about me. Many praise me, many abuse me, and nevertheless I'm still proud of what I'm doing.

Your parents.

My parents are so happy about my new status, because they never thought for once that I would get there so soon. They knew from the outset, when I was a kid, that I was this 'fashion kind' of person, but they didn't know I would live by it and they always encouraged me to go for whatever I want to do and do it well. Thank God, the dream has finally come to reality.

What is fashion to you?

Fashion means everything to me. It is everything, it's fun, it's educative and interesting. When people know you they would accept you. That's what it is really.

What about "Soul Sisters Show"?

It is our ideas. We came together to create the idea. We said 'let's do this', let's involve this' and after that we came about the "Soul Sisters Show". It's a bond that has been there.

After "Soul Sisters Show", what should we expect?

I don't think there is anything else because "Soul Sisters" is going far and we are bringing more ideas into it. A lot of things would be in the show and is going to be the best among the equals.

You are a big lady now!

A big lady! I don't understand.

I mean a public figure that must have been receiving various wanted and unwanted calls.

By the Grace of God, I don't have a private life again. It is difficult for me to keep certain things away from my fans.

What about your fiancé and attitude of men to you as a star?

I must tell you sincerely, though very private, but the pressure from men is very enormous; everybody wants to have a date with you, not minding whatever you are telling them about your relationship with another man. They always want to have their ways, which to me is absolutely difficult.

Does your fiancé feel threatened about all these advances from men?

Not at all. We have a perfect relationship. To date a star involves a lot of patience and understanding, otherwise it would be one problem or the other.

Would you consider yourself as being beautiful?

Yes. Why not? If otherwise, my being a beautiful face in Lux should be queried. And I know those that picked me must have done a thorough screening before arriving at my choice.

Can you act nude?

For how much? I cannot. My background would not allow me to do that, and I'm not caught out for that in the entertainment industry.

Choose between your fiancé and the entertainment industry. What is it that you would really compromise for the sake of the one you truly love?

I would go for my fiancé, though the entertainment industry is like a baby to me. Let's follow one reason that most people feel they could swim across the ocean in the name of love.
