The PDP Senators That Lost In Their Primaries

SAN FRANCISCO, Jan 09, (THEWILL) – So far, nineteen (19) incumbent senators elected on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) will not be returning to the Senate at least not on the platform of the PDP in the next political dispensation.


Some of those who lost their reelection bid are quite influential members of the current Senate.


The 19 senators are; Senator George Akume (Benue); Senator Effiong Bob (Akwa Ibom); Senator Simon Oduoye (Osun); Senator Lee Maeba (Rivers); Senator (Mrs.) Eme Uffot Ekaette (Akwa Ibom); Senator Abubakar Sodangi (Nasarawa); Senator Joseph Akaargerger (Benue); Senator Hosea Ehinlawo (Ondo); Senator Bassey Ewa-Henshaw (Cross River); Senator Caleb Zagi (Kaduna); Senator (Mrs.) Chris Anyanwu (Imo); and Senator Usman Jibrin (Kaduna).


Others are Senator Osita Izunaso (Imo); Senator Idris Abdullahi (Gombe); Senator Sylvester Anyanwu (Imo); Senator Gregory Ngaji (Cross River); Senator Lekan Mustapha (Ogun); and Senator Nimi Barigha-Amange (Bayelsa).
