Ondo to spend N2.3 billion on Community Projects

Ondo State Government has proposed to spend N2.3bn to execute community based projects in all the 18 Local Government Areas of the state, the Commissioner for Community Development and Cooperative Services in the state, Mr. Clement Faboyede, has said.

He said the current administration in the state, since inception, had executed projects worth N1.6bn in 105 communities across the 18 local councils.

Faboyede said the ministry would by the end of the year, executed 305 projects that would have direct impact on the lives of the people, across the state.

 
Faboyede said, ”We planned to execute at least five projects each in 15 communities at the cost of about N8m each and this also include the constituency projects of members of the state House of Assembly.”

The commissioner added that some small scale industries would also be established by the state government so that people in the rural areas could process their farm produce.
