ABUJA BOMB BLAST.

By Kayode AJULO

*We must be self vigilant and *fast & pray for three (3) days between 7th – 9th January 2011

I am not only shocked but appalled by the New Year eve bomb blast in Abuja, I extend prayers and condolences to the families of the victims of this heinous crime against humanity and the Almighty.

I also enjoin all to condemn this act and urge every Abuja residents and visitors to be vigilant to ensure that any potential crime is detected as we must make the issue our security, our primary duty while we at the same time give our security agencies room to perform their constitutional duties of protecting our lives and properties.

I once again call on the Federal government and the FCT administration to thoroughly investigate the act and arrest and prosecute those behind the bombings.

It should be stated clearly that a terrible event has occurred in which precious lives were lost and there it is therefore imperative that machinery is put in place to ensure that not only the culprits are apprehended but such occurrence did not again take place in our beautiful and peaceful Federal Capital Territory.

Total support of the Abuja residents and visitors giving to the investigating agencies in their efforts to uncover the perpetrators of these heinous crimes is utmost in ensuring a safe Abuja, therefore, anyone with information should volunteer what they know as soon as possible.

In the view of the above, a group, Abuja Ambassadors & Volunteers has been set up to that effect by my Organization in collaboration with other civil society groups, modus operandi and composition of the AMV will be made public in the forth coming week.

Some of our Faith Base Organization FBO are been contacted as I enjoin the Abuja residents to observe 3 days fasting and prayer between the next Friday 7th – Sunday 9th of January 2011 to seek the face of our God in averting any impeding incident.

Thank you.
