FIFA Suspends Amos Adamu, Others
Huhuonline.com can disclose that the FIFA Ethics Committee at a press conference held today, 20 October 2010, said, it has decided to temporarily suspend, with immediate effect, two members of the FIFA Executive Committee, namely, Amos Adamu and
Reynald Temarii from taking part in any football-related activity (administrative, sports or any other) after examining their cases in relation to the bidding process for the 2018 and 2022 FIFA World Cups.
According to Claudio Sulser, the chairman of the Ethics Committee,
'After listening to Amos Adamu and Reynald Temarii, the Ethics Committee decided that a temporary suspension was required while the investigation continues, considering the gravity of the case and the likelihood that a breach of the FIFA Statutes, the FIFA Code of Ethics and the FIFA Disciplinary Code has been committed.
