Sociate Toyin Igbira set to wed

Right now, both in the cities of London and Lagos, one major issue that has taken over the discussion of many socialites, is the impeding marriage between Toyin Abrahams, popularly known as Toyin Igbira and a certain London based celebrity who is simply known as "Lacasta".

Although Toyin Igbira has been involved with about three men before the new one, it was learnt that this coming marriage slated for next month will definitely be her first celebrated marriage.

Already, invitation cards and "Aso Ebi" are being distributed among friends and associates of the lady who has been having a running battle with the NDLEA.

The white Aso Ebi" with the invitation cards, we hear, go for 350 pounds and the self acclaimed founder of fuji music, Alhaji Sikiru Ayinde Barrister has been penciled down to entertain guests at the London venue of the event.

If you recall, Toyin Igbira graced so many news papers' headlines when she was apprehended on her way to London some years ago with hard drugs, after being named as one of the major sponsors of the drug trade in the country.

If there is one thing that has constantly been the headache of those around Biola Awote, the daughter of Chief Mrs Mobolaji Osomo, former Housing Minister under ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo, it's her love for smoking.

And with the N3 million, Tawa, we learnt, got a big shop around the Egbeda axis, a suburb of Lagos where the talented footballer's family was living before he took off for France, and filled it with several gift items and baby wares, which she retails.

Because of her elder brother's benevolent act towards her, Tawa tells virtually everyone she comes into contact with how the brother has helped her to set her shop.

For sometime now, this gist that has hitherto been said in a hush-hush tone, is fast gaining ground that Super Eagles stand-in captain, who plies his trade in the very lucrative English Premiership, Joseph Yobo and actress-cum-television personality Tricia Esiegbeare very close.

Obj's in-law gives daughter's hand out in marriage

Chief Kenny Martins, the twin brother of Taiwo Obasanjo (Obj's ex wife) will today, the August 18, be giving out his daughter's hand in marriage to Otunba Akin Oshiyemi's son, Temitope.

The event is billed to take place at the Church of Assumption and Anglican Church at Opebi, Ikeja, Lagos, while the reception will hold at Planet One hall, Maryland Lagos.

The traditional wedding took place last Thursday at the University of Lagos Multipurpose Hall, Akoka, Lagos.

Yinka Ayefele loses brother!

Olu, the younger brother of Yinka Ayefele, is dead.

The untimely death occurred last week Friday on his way back to Akure from Ibadan where he had gone to see his brother Yinka.

What makes the news so sad is that late Olu has just been promoted to the rank of assistant superintendent of police and had gone to the brother to celebrate his new status.

At Ibadan, a little party was thrown for him by Yinka. And it was on his way back to Akure that he was involved in the accident that snuffed life out of him.
