Nigeria @ 50: FCTA Assures On Hitch-Free Hosting

ABUJA, Sept 06, (THEWILL) - The FCT Administration has assured that no stone will be left unturned in hosting a hitch-free 50th Year Independence Anniversary for Nigeria.

FCT Minister, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed gave this assurance while inspecting venues/facilities where the anniversary events will take place in the Federal Capital City, Abuja.

The Minister who was represented by the FCT Minister of State, Navy Captain Caleb Olubolade said the inspection had become necessary to fix some of the grey areas and avoid any possible last minute rush.

Senator Mohammed reiterated that the FCT Administration is on top of the preparation towards hosting the Nation’s Golden Jubilee Celebration as several World leaders are expected to grace the occasion.

The Minister during the visit inspected facilities at the Abuja City Gate, Velodrome at the Abuja National Stadium, the Old Parade Ground, Area 10, Garki I District, as well as the International Conference Centre, Abuja.

The Minister was accompanied on the visit by the FCT Permanent Secretary, Dr. Biodun Nathaniel Olorunfemi, the FCDA Executive Secretary, Engineer Muhammad Sani Alhassan and other members of the FCT Executive Committee.
