The month of June is starting on a very surprising yet controversial note. This time it takes us by a surprise leap from the power couple, football legend, Pique and top musician, Shakira.

After both persons officially announced their split yesterday, ears have been itching to decipher the codes behind such programmed software.

The couple who have two children together after a 10 year relationship shared their post which reads thus,

"We regret to confirm that we are separating. For the well-being of our children, who are our top priority, we are asking for respect for their privacy.

"Thank you for your understanding."
What could have caused this action? According to a popular Spanish daily, El Periodico de Catalunya, Barca super defender is allegedly having extra marital affairs with a certain blonde who happens to be an event hostess in Barcelona.

The news of their secret affair led to Shakira discovery hence her decision to seek for divorce. The two met while filming the music video for the Colombian singer's World Cup hit single "Waka Waka."
