No shooting in first week of November

As apart of the re-registration exercise of members of the AGN, the executive of the Guild have announced that there will be no film shooting in the first week of November during which old and prospective members will be registered in accordance with the new guideline that is expected to get rid of fake members.

Earlier on, the sale of membership form had been stopped. When the ban is lifted, new members are expected to pay N10,000 while old members will pay N5,000 after which a work permit will be issued to enable ellegible members get contracts.

The registration exercise may yet be another joker by the Guild head to ensure that actors who feel too big to attend Guild meetings will be brought to book. The president, Mr Asiegbu, disclosed that a group insurance policy has also been taken for members for which each actor will pay an annual due of N3,000.
