ONI COMMISERATES WITH SSG OVER MOTHER’S DEATH

Ekiti State Governor, Engr. Segun Oni has commiserated with the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Ambassador Dare Bejide over the death of his mother, Felicia Omogbemile Bejide, saying; “though the death of a beloved mother can be devastating but the SSG and the entire family should be condoled by the fact that the woman lived a fulfilled and exemplary life.

Mrs. Felicia Omogbemile Bejide, who was born at Ilawe-Ekiti in 1925, died at 1pm today, at the General Hospital, Lagos University Teaching Hospital, Ikeja, Lagos.

Governor Oni, reacting to Mrs. Bejide's death through his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Wale Ojo-Lanre implored the Ambassador Bejide and his family to take solace in the fact that their mother died at the ripe age of 85.

“I received with shock the news of the death of Mrs. Felicia Omogbemile Bejide, and all I can say is that God in His infinite mercies should condole the family because in a moment like this, it is only God that can console the Bejide's.

“Judging from the character of the SSG, one of the children, I have no doubt in my mind that the late Mrs. Felicia Omogbemile Bejide, was a woman with virtues plated in superlatives, who taught her children the ideals of hard-work, honesty and selflessness.

“I therefore share this moment of grief with Ambassador Dare Bejide, a committed and loyal member of our government.

“On behalf of my family, Government and people of Ekiti State, I express our heartfelt condolence for the loss of such a distinguished woman and wish the entire family the continued support and guidance of the Almighty God,” Oni said.

“My prayer is that God in His infinite mercies will grant the children the grace to continue to uphold the virtues of Godliness, which the late Mrs. Felicia Omogbemile Bejide symbolised.”
