GERMAN EMBASSIES REJECT PARTICIPANTS FROM THREE AFRICAN COUNTRIES, ENTRY VISAS FOR THE AFRICAN CHURCH CONFERENCE TO BE HELD IN STUTTGART-GERMANY

By FRANCIS TAWIAH (Duisburg - Germany)

African Church Conference participants are refused entry visas to Germany. The Lutheran World Federation has complained to the German Foreign Ministry in Berlin. Four African members of the Organization cannot participate in the General Assembly in Stuttgart in two weeks.

Three women and a man from Liberia, Ghana and Ethiopia were not given visas to travel to German. According to the Secretary General of the Lutheran World Federation, the German authorities feared that the Africans will be illegal in Germany after the Conference.

The decision is not only disappointing but also discriminating.
