Jagbajantis crooner, Lanre Fasasi a.k.a. Sound Sultan, has delved into the needle and thread business to start a clothing line, Entertainment Cafe can reveal.

The multi-talented entertainer recently showcased designs from his clothing line, Naija Ninjas, at the Galaxy Television Fashion Show.

Speaking with Entertainment Cafe, the artiste said he was inspired to float his brand so as to encourage more people to dress Nigerian, even in their casual outfits.

“Our youths should be encouraged to patronise our Nigerian designers. Instead of wearing clothes that celebrate other countries, they should be encouraged to wear clothes they can be identified with,” he told Entertainment Cafe in a chat.

He said that his brand for now is casual clothing for men and women, but hopes to include the formal range and a special range he calls the Artiste Range, soon.

The clothing line will be formally launched with his new album entitled Naija Ninjas 007, before the end of the year.

Meanwhile, he has concluded recording of a 30-minute television programme, billed to run on Tajudeen Adepetu's Sound City soon.

The programme, he explains, is to test the ability of Nigerian artistes. “Every week, an artiste will be brought to the studio to compose a song in just 30 minutes,” he said.
