ACTOR CHRIS KLEIN ARRESTED FOR DRINK DRIVING

American Pie actor Chris Klein has been arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, officials in Los Angeles have said.

Police say he was taken into custody at 0315 local time on Wednesday after his car was seen weaving between lanes.

The actor, who was later released, was fined $1,800 (£1,230) in 2005 after he admitted drink-driving in San Diego.

Klein, 31, is best known for his role as Chris “Oz” Ostreicher in teen comedy American Pie.

The actor, who was engaged to actress Katie Holmes before she became linked with Tom Cruise, also appeared in 1999 high school film Election.
